Northbase Flight was founded to provide quality instruction to pilots seeking to realize their dreams, push their envelope by flying awesome aircraft, and remember why it was that they began flying.

Flying is not an easy world to break into. Growing up without an aviation background means that Nathan Davies, the founder had to find his way to aviation for himself. His first flight in a small aircraft was in July 2009 in a glider. Any doubt that aviation was his calling disappeared.

As a cadet at USAFA, Nathan trained first as a flight glider instructor pilot. Following commissioning he was unable to fly for the Air Force but decided to push forward on his own. Flying the ubiquitous Cessna 172 for initial training, he never forgot the excitement of flying high performance plane. The Viking helped bring back the feeling as he strapped it on and slipped the surly bonds.

Now as an instructor, he wants to share that joy with you.
